The best way is to slice open the melon and cut all the flesh away from the rind. I have always just used a knife. Then I started hearing about Watermelon Slicers; a device made just for melons. I recently spotted the Vellostar Watermelon Slicer and just had to try it.

I bought a medium sized, seedless watermelon from the grocery store and soon after getting home I cut it in half and whipped out my new Vellostar Watermelon Slicer. The slicer has a non-slip handle, stainless steel surfaces, and designed to make perfectly sized slices.
Also included are two little forks and an orange cutter – love it – it's a great set and makes my fruit eating experience so easy. The tools are easy to clean. This is a must have for everyone’s picnic supply cabinet.
