Cocktail Spoon / Mixing Spoon from Vivree

I'm loving the Cocktail Spoon / Mixing Spoon from Vivree.  When making smoothies it can be frustrating not being able to reach the goodies (fruit pieces, flax & chia seeds) left at the bottom of the blender.

This spoon is high quality stainless steel, easy to care for and measures 12.5 inches and it is perfect for stirring beverages like; iced tea, milkshakes, sangria, and smoothies πŸ‡πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‡ This makes it easier to stir or mix anything I'm serving in a tall glass.  Even better it is great for reaching food in tall jars like maraschino cherries or olives.  Yesterday I used it to get to the bottom of my peanut butter jar. No more waste and no peanut butter on my hands. ✨Bonus✨ Great spoon to have on hand and would make a great gift idea. #vivree

Chef's Secret Smokeless Indoor Barbeque Grill

I enjoy grilling but I don't always enjoy cooking outside. Whether it's raining or the temperature is too hot or too cold, I decided I need an indoor alternative that's affordable.  I tried the Chef's Secret Smokeless Indoor Barbeque Grill and had great results.

I placed the outer ring on the burner and added water per the instructions. Next I placed the grill dome on and fired up the heat. πŸŒ‹  I started with steak straight on the non-stick grill top. No added oils or cooking spray. Using medium heat on the gas stove it didn't take long until I caught that "grilled meat smell" I love. The meat cooked evenly and I had no issues with sticking or smoke. The water added to the outer ring prevented that.

Watch my video to see this in action.

I recommend it to anyone who likes grilled food and to those wanting a healthier cooking option. πŸŒΆπŸ…πŸ†πŸ€πŸ”

Product Reviewing on Social Media

What a fantastic world it would be if brands became less interested in profit margin and more interested in consumerism. Guess what. That time has come! Most brands understand the importance of customer engagement - from product development to consumption - and to be recognized as consumer-centric.

Brands want to know how customers are going to react to a new product. Some seek input and some ask for feedback. These are some examples of questions I have been asked before:
  • What type of packaging would make you want to buy xyz product?
  • Which flavor tea do you think would taste better (a. avocado or b. cayenne)?
  • What does our product mean to you?
  • How can we improve our product?

Questions like these are critical and most brands truly want to know how customers feel about their products. For example, who would really be interested in a product if it only fits the developer? It is smart business to survey consumers about a product before making 10 million of them. Once a brand has their product on the shelf, how do they know if it's going to sell? The goal is to ask consumers who have actually used their product. It would be expensive and nearly impossible to send a census taker to the home of each customer after they purchase a product. Plus there are customers that have no interest in being contacted or having to call an 800 number to take a survey.  This is when product reviewing becomes a useful service - one who participates in product reviewing is known as a product reviewer.

I am a product reviewer and self titled Product Examiner.

A product reviewer will test a product for little or no cost to the brand. They can create quality reviews, product photos and videos to promote the product. A product reviewer is usually social, vocal, loves to try or sample a new product before committing to buy it and enjoys providing honest feedback. When a product reviewer likes a product they will recommend it to everyone they know plus share it on Social Media (because that is just what they love to do). A product reviewer will also let people know if they don't like a product which is helpful to the brand and to future consumers.

Created by a Product Reviewer

I have registered on several brand and influencer websites, completed my profile indicating the type of products I use and would like to try, and agreed to provide honest feedback. Most brands create products with a certain demographic in mind (age, gender, zip code, etc.). If I am a match to the criteria and my profile is up to date, I could be invited to test a product, provide my honest feedback and I get to keep the product. Brands are mindful and want customers to be satisfied. Brands also like to show customers how much they appreciate them.

This is where I post most of my product reviews

If product reviewing sounds like something you are interested in, I recommend it. It can be very time consuming depending on how much you participate and being organized is extremely important. Freebie Sites - My experience with them. Freebie sites are fun and you can request samples from many brands.

See you on social media.

Vitapura Tea Infuser

I'm a tea lover and most of the better teas are sold as loose leaf.

It's important to have a well designed, tea infuser that not only fits your favorite cup but effectively infuses the tea. I've been using the Vitapura Tea Infuser with great results. The stainless steel mesh allows for even water flow as it infuses the tea. The lid secures nicely with a simple twist so there's no risk of tea leaf spillage in your cup.  Plus you get two tea infusers in the box so you're ready for tea-time with a guest or make two flavors for yourself like me.  I love variety.

GM Kitchen, Silicone Oven Gloves, Heat Resistant + Pot Holder

I have seen these advertised and wanted to try them.  ♨️πŸ˜€♨️ So this week I've tested the gloves and heat pad using different heat sources. I've grabbed hot food from the microwave, grabbed a sausage from the frying pan while it was cooking, touched a hot panhandle, and a hot tea kettle. No burns on my hands or the gloves/pad. The sides of the gloves don't have the extra nubs like the palms and back but that's perfect when holding your cooking utensils: no slipping with easy gripping.  I held my gloved hand over a flame and felt nothing for few seconds but of course, like any fire the heat gets pretty intense and did heat up the silicon a little and I started to feel it.  I like them a lot and they are easy to clean. I'm considering retiring my faded and frayed pot holders. Maybe. πŸ˜€

AlphaShades Car Sunshade

Nice & Big -- Covers the whole windshield.
I've been using The AlphaShades Car Windshield Sunshade, all week and my car interior is more tolerable than before.  I live in Florida where the summer temperatures are between 90-100 with "feels like" temperatures much higher. ♨️ Whether my car is parked in a parking lot or my driveway, the heat inside a car can reach much higher temperatures than the outside.  The sun and heat wreak havoc on the interior plus who enjoys grabbing hold of a blistering hot steering wheel. My dashboard is not as hot with the shield in place and the seats are safe to sit on if wearing shorts.  I like that it's durable, easy to open, and quickly folds for compact storage.   #AlphaShades #AlphaShadeCarSunshade  See my YouTube video HERE of my experience with AlphaShades.

iCookPro Premium Watermelon Slicer - (Product WIN)

One thing I love most about summertime is WATERMELON and now the iCookPro "Smart Slicer" Premium Watermelon Slicer!

iCookPro "Smart Slicer" Premium Watermelon Slicer

There are so many different ways to serve watermelon; sliced, balled, cubed.  I think the best way is to slice open the melon and cut all the flesh away from the rind then share with family and friends. I have always just used a big knife and carved the melon the best way I could.  But now...I spotted this iCookPro “Smart Slicer” Premium Watermelon Slicer online. I just had to try this because I’m all about efficiency when it comes to my watermelon. This is the first time I have ever used a device made just for melons. For testing day I bought a medium sized watermelon from a farmer on the side of the road, brought it home, cut it in half and whipped out my new iCookPro Watermelon Slicer. It works beautifully! The slicer has a non-slip handle, stainless steel surface, and designed to cut close to the rind while making perfectly sized slices.

Also included is a watermelon ball maker – love it – that also has a non-slip handle for easy use. Clean up is easy too. This is a must have for your kitchen if you like watermelon.

My Experience with Free Sample Sites

For a few years I have seen the small ads that decorate the margins of social media and shopping websites, telling me I could get free samples delivered to my mailbox.  Being the skeptic I would ignore them and go about my duties of liking, posting and tweeting about current events.

One day I decided to check out one website that promised free lipstick samples.  I decided to give this one a try so I clicked the link and registered on the site.  I had to complete my profile, verify my email address and agree to the terms and conditions.  "Okay, done, bring on the list of freebies I can choose."  After 15 minutes of browsing through the list of freebies I had completely forgotten about searching for the free lipstick sample.  Instead I requested samples of tea, cat food and fabric softener.

I enjoy getting free samples to try.  It saves me money and if I like it, there is usually a coupon enclosed to buy a full size product.  Below is a list of some freebie sites I recommend for beginners.

Enjoy your freebies.
