I have seen these advertised and wanted to try them. ♨️😀♨️ So this week I've tested the gloves and heat pad using different heat sources. I've grabbed hot food from the microwave, grabbed a sausage from the frying pan while it was cooking, touched a hot panhandle, and a hot tea kettle. No burns on my hands or the gloves/pad. The sides of the gloves don't have the extra nubs like the palms and back but that's perfect when holding your cooking utensils: no slipping with easy gripping. I held my gloved hand over a flame and felt nothing for few seconds but of course, like any fire the heat gets pretty intense and did heat up the silicon a little and I started to feel it. I like them a lot and they are easy to clean. I'm considering retiring my faded and frayed pot holders. Maybe. 😀
